A formidable Sun, Saturn, Pluto in Leo (like Bill Clinton) this is a heavweight personality, tough, stubborn, resourceful in crisis but with a depressive streak. He’ll always have felt like an outsider which has made him obsessive. His Saturn Pluto conjunction falls (like Stephen Spielberg’s) in the 2nd house of money so he has a magician’s touch when it comes to building up a substantial fortune. The bleakness of this unyielding triple conjunction is to some extent leavened by the square from Jupiter in Scorpio. Again this places a strong emphasis on his money making talents and need to acquire wealth, though it can also make him over ambitious, expecting returns for little effort. Jupiter in the 5th makes him a party animal, never happier than when he is flirting or out in the spotlight.
His chart is well balanced between fire, water and air signs but oddly lacks earth. So his weakest link is the material realm, the body, reality, organization. With only the Moon in Capricorn in the 6th, he could have been sickly, but instead he has leant on his least familiar element to build himself up into a mass of muscle. Though his recent heart scare may be a hint that he still does not have an innate sense of what his body really needs. A bland, self protective Cancerian ascendant with Venus in the first makes him charming on first meeting, always seeming keen to please. A thrill seeking Mars Uranus conuunction in the 12th tucks his violent, adventurous urges out of sight, only to be lived out on celluloid. Neptune in the 4th hints at sacrifices to be made on behalf of his family, the sense that his identity is somehow sacrificed to his father in particular.
Present Influences
With Saturn now in transit through his 12th house and heading rapidly towards his ascendant, his career is moving into a low profile phase of some 7/8 years. He will lead a less prominent lifestyle and find success more difficult to come by. With Neptune opposing Saturn and Pluto till late 2004 he may find old certainties, financial and otherwise, slipping away. Neptune is now entering his 8th perhaps why old sexual secrets have started to emerge. Though it will also bring problems with joint finances. From the start of 2004 Pluto will start to oppose Mars which will be frustrating, high stress and very challenging. He will feel very stuck and enraged, and since Pluto is heading for his 6th this could have health implications. October/November 2003 over the California Governor election see Saturn conjunct his Sun/Mars midpoint which clearly didn't bring defeat but are an indication of the problems lying in store. The one buoyant transit over the election is Pluto square Jupiter/Ascendant but it will disappear by December not to return.
