A bright, intelligent Capricorn, who likes to be well regarded for his mind and ability to communicate, he is blessed with having had a lucky Jupiter Uranus conjunction at his mid heaven when he was born. Jupiter confers growing respect through life for talents, achievements and position in the community. Uranus adds a touch of sparkle to a career that will be eventful, never boring, providing opportunity for constant travel and adventure.
This year was always going to be ultra-successful for him with transitting Jupiter now in Cancer moving through his 10th house. The Oscar triumph for Best Actor is only the first step up in a career that has already been marked with huge box office and professional triumphs in Malcolm X, The Pelican Brief & other major movies. There will be even luckier breaks for him in July 2002 when Jupiter is conjunct these two planets. Saturn is not far behind and when it reaches his midheaven in mid 2003 he starts an exceptionally hard working 7 years – the peak of his career – when he will be given growing respect as a serious actor, maybe even producer/director. He will want to take executive responsibility.
With a security conscious earthy Capricorn Sun he will be keen to find financial stability in life. Saturn in Scorpio in his 2nd house of personal finances will make him careful with money, keen to save rather than spend, slightly obsessive at times about hanging on to it. He does like beautiful things with Venus also in Scorpio in the 2nd but insists always on having value.
These Scorpio planets make him deeply secretive about his personal life, keen to maintain his privacy at all times. Pluto widely opposing his Moon adds another layer to his determination to keep outsiders away from what he regards as his own personal domain. Add on top of that a water grand trine which makes him a great comforter to those at a distance, but is essentially self protective, and he clearly will wish to remain an enigma to the media and intrusive biographers for ever.
With a mildly outrageous Aquarian Moon in the 5th house, he could have been a party animal and quite a flirt, but the restraints of his childhood, perhaps fighting against prejudice, have damped down some of his more free-spirited inclinations. Mars in Pisces in the 6th makes him exceptionally conscientious in his everyday job, keen to get the details right. Mars is not considered happy - in astrological lore - in Pisces, since it makes confrontation difficult and diffuses Mars more assertive drive. But it can also suggest a grace in physical movement, almost a dancer’s talent.
Pluto is in square to Mars in 2002, indeed over the Oscars, which tends to bring great pressures, sometimes a feeling of being blocked or stuck. It can be slightly risky, so he will need to take care until it finally disappears in October 2003. Uranus is also opposing Pluto in 2002 which will turn his life upside down, transform his ability to be an influential force out in society, and change the friendships he has around him.
