It isn''t clear yet whether the Mumbai terrorist attacks were an Al Quaeda operation. But intelligence analysts have been concerned about an Al Quaeda spectacular in the interim between the US Election and the Inauguration. The highly coordinated nature of the Mumbai attacks, aimed at Western hotels and the city''s financial district, a soft under-secured target like the Bali bombings might suggest it was Al Quaeda.
The relationship Al Quaeda/USA chart has an exact Uranus in Pisces square Pluto in Sag at 18 degrees mutable with Jupiter opp Pluto at 19 Gemini. Transitting Uranus is bouncing off both Uranus and Pluto on this chart thro'' Nov/Dec 08 which I mentioned in a posting some time back; then an opportunistic tr Uranus squares Jupiter thereafter till the Inauguration in Jan 09 - so if the Al Quaeda data is correct then all the indications could be right. The GWB Bush 2nd Administration chart also has an 8th house Mars (conjunct Pluto) at 18 Sag which tr Uranus is also squaring at the moment till late Dec which is highly jangled and insecure - partly financial but maybe also terrorist-related. And the USA chart is within days by Dec 3 08 picking up the tr Saturn square Mars which will be setbacks but perhaps also military action/re-action - and it stays till late Jan 09.
The UK/Al Quaeda relationship chart is also under stress at the moment with tr Pluto sextile the Sun (conjunct Saturn) with tr Neptune through 09/10/11 picking up the Mars Venus in Aries opposition Mercury, Saturn Sun opposition which will be undermining and confusing. On the 1988 Al Quaeda chart they look if anything to be ramping up in intensity thro'' 09/10 (Pluto opp Venus) though following that tr Pluto, Saturn and Uranus start to impact their Mars Neptune square which could eventually lead to their demise.

It suddenly struck me that there might be some mileage, since Osama Bin Laden''s birth date is so unclear, in looking at the start of Al Quaeda chart.
According to sources it began certainly in the late 1980s but there was a significant startup meeting on 11 August 1988 in Afghanistan. This gives a Leo Sun, perhaps a Leo New Moon, with the Sun and Mercury in Leo trine the Saturn Uranus conjunction in Sagittarius - so flashy, flamboyant (Leo) and keen to bring about changes though also autocratic and stubborn (Sat Ur). At first glance it doesn''t seem that pass remarkable a chart until you look at the aspects to a hot headed, aggressive Mars in Aries. It is exactly quincunx, 150 degrees, to Pluto in Scorpio (= ruthless, strained relationship between anger and power); is widely trine the Sun, sextile Jupiter (= confident); and more importantly sits on the point of a T square to a Neptune opposition Venus. A Cardinal Mars on the point of a T square has courage in abundance but little common sense, a hair-trigger fuse, reacts violently to opposition, tends to be disruptive, openly attacks anything that stands in its way. Mars square Neptune likes publicity; Mars square Venus is insensitive to others. Pluto is also emphasised squaring the Sun and perhaps Moon ( = controlling, possessive, stubborn); trine Venus and Pisces NNode (= arousing emotional intensity, tied into the zeitgeist).
What makes this chart seem more plausible are the connections to the Afghanistan national chart since Al Quaeda was effectively born there and has used it as a base of operations. Also that exact Mars Pluto quincunx is repeated in the 9/11 8 Harmonic chart see posting below. The 1919 Afghanistan chart has a late Leo Sun conjunct Saturn at 0 Virgo opposition Uranus in Aquarius. So there''s the same Sun Uranus Saturn connections - rebellious, autocratic, determined on change. The very emphasised/afflicted aggressively violent Al Quaeda Mars is trine the Afghanistan Jupiter Neptune conjunction in Leo which adds fire (Mars) to their blind faith (Jup Nep) and also stokes up their liking for attention (Leo). The Al Quaeda Pluto also squares this Jupiter Neptune conjunction so their power (Pl) also keeps the Afghanistan extreme idealism and religious ecstasy afloat. Together they make less than sensible decisions, are overly confident, delusional (Pl Nep Jup). Pluto is also conjunct the Afg Venus which is an intense bond. The Al Quaeda Jupiter in Gemini (good at communications) sextiles the Afgh Jup Nep so helps to crusade for beliefs important to both. And the Al Quaeda Jupiter forms a T square to the Afgh (Sun) Saturn opposition Uranus so pulls together their tendency to go in opposite directions.
Since Al Quaeda was certainly born in the late 1980s it''s chart carries the triple conjunction of Saturn Uranus Neptune (late Sag and early Capricorn) which means that transitting Pluto is wading its way round that just now and won''t clear till 2012 and beyond. The transitting Saturn Pluto Uranus T square picks up the Al Quaeda 1988 Neptune in 11/12 and its Mars in 11/12/13 and the Afghanistan Pluto in 11/12/13. So it might be a thought that Al Quaeda''s swan song in terms of their present aims comes around then. After which they either implode or transform into something else. Transitting Saturn Uranus Pluto on their Mars could be total destruction or at the very least an overwhelming series of setbacks.
The Afghanistan chart (1919) certainly gives no indication that the country is going to move into more peaceful times soon. The Taleban are now stronger than ever, there are more allied military deaths than in Iraq and even more civilian deaths from misplaced allied attacks. Pluto is aspecting Saturn in 08/09 which is deprivation and tough times. Tr Neptune is undermining the Sun opp Uranus till 2011 when it then seriously debilitates by opposition to Saturn through 11/12. Tr Uranus will heat the situation up more in 10/11 trining Mars by which time their Pluto at 7 Cancer is being buffeted from three different sides.
