Radavan Karadvic From: Marjorie. (22 Jul 2008 10:30): Radavan Karadzic has been arrested to face war crimes charges in the Hague for his part in the genocidal massacres against Bosnian and Serbian Muslims in the 1992-95 civil war which left 1000,000 dead, 2 million non-Serbs driven from their homes, and rape used as a tactic of terror. Born on 19 June 1945 he is a Sun Gemini with Uranus also in Gemini, both square Jupiter in Virgo and has a Libra Moon. So he is emotionally detached communicative, an adventurer, a chancer and overly confident. In adult life he was a psychologist and a poet before embarking on his reign of terror. He was born in a stable, the son of a Serb guerrilla who was in jail for most of his childhood. His emotionally unhappy childhood is reflected in Saturn in Cancer close to the NNode with a paranoid Neptune in square. His absent father is well described by a (very wide) Sun Uranus conjunction, leaving him with a rebellious, uncompromising temperament. He also inherited his father''s brutal streak with a Pluto square Mars and Venus in Taurus. Mars Pluto is ruthless, criminal, hugely angry, power hungry, often associated with rape especially associated involving a fixed sign Venus.
Ratko Mladic, his crony, who is still on the run from similar charges, also has strong Mars to Pluto and Venus aspects with a close Mars Pluto sextile and Pluto opposition Venus in Aquarius which in turn sextiles Mars Jupiter. And Slobodan Milosevic, ''the Butcher of the Balkans'' who died in 2006 while facing war crimes tribunal in the Hague, also has a strongly aspected Mars (in assertive Aries) which trines his Leo Sun and Mercury, squares Sun/Jupiter; and his Venus sextiles Pluto. So all three charts have a potent brew of ruthless determination with strongly emotional overtones.
And all three have strong Pluto aspects to Jupiter midpoints which give a powerful drive to succeed. Milosevic has Pluto conjunct Jupiter/Node; Karadzic and Mladic both have Pluto = Sun/Jupiter. Karadvic has Saturn = Uranus/Pluto which brings extreme self will, stubbornness and hatred. Both Mladic and Milosevic have hard aspects of Saturn to Pluto/NNode which is generational but points to involvement in the destiny of the masses, as well as revolt and lack of sensitivity.
Karadzic was arrested this week when transitting Uranus was opposition his Mars/Pluto which is rather ironic. It describes a time of calamity as well as having associations with brutality and violence. Milosevic was arrested in 2001 when the transitting Mars Pluto conjunction was square his Mars/Pluto midpoint, putting the brakes on his drive for power; and Saturn was squaring his Sun putting a damper on his fiery Leo Sun Mars dynamic confidence. Mladic has Mars/Pluto at 3 Cancer so if he''s following the same pattern he may be arrested in 2009 as Pluto opposes that point, though he''s known to be in poor health, so he may be meeting judgement of a different sort.
