In the News / Celebrity Astrology Kate Middleton - January 07 9 January 1982 Berkshire, England. No birth time
A determined, ambitious, lucky Capricorn, Kate Middleton is practical, sensible, tougher than she appears. With Mars, Saturn, Pluto in Libra square her Sun and Cancer Moon she is suited to a life requiring considerable endurance, courage and self discipline. She is capable of coping with high risk situations, is resourceful in crisis and well able to be the one who walks apart from the crowd. With Jupiter in Scorpio she is good at keeping secrets and confidences, as well as lucky in attracting money. Venus and Mercury in friendly, tolerant Aquarius exactly square her Jupiter make it easy for her to turn on the charm when need be. Though in many ways hers is not an easy chart. Born at the time of the Full Moon she will always be torn between her heart and her head, between her sense of duty and her emotional needs. She’ll never feel she has exactly what she wants, since her needs are contradictory. Her childhood instilled in her a strong sense of duty and responsibility though in many ways it must have felt quite bleak. The Mars, Saturn, Pluto conjunction is heavy, overly intense, inclined to depression. An emphasised Mars makes her strong willed, with an under current of aggression which is firmly held in check by Saturn’s blocking action which tends to give rise to acute frustrations and anxieties. Though Saturn also gives her executive abilities which will appear over time after a great many setbacks, delays and some discouragement. Add Pluto into this mix and it tends to produce a relentlessly one tracked individual, who is excessively private, giving off an air of remote coolness, but is essentially very controlling. An emphasised Pluto almost always gives rise to resistance from others and the tendency to arouse antagonism. Prince William and Kate: Born less than six months before Prince William, her chart is similar to his in many ways, so she understands the difficult lifestyle into which he was born. He shares her Mars, Saturn, Pluto conjunction in Libra though it is more emphasised in her chart. He is a New Moon Cancer thus essentially self sufficient, though having it in the 7th house, he does need a partner in life. Both are well skilled in suppressing their real feelings, putting up with hardship and persisting through difficulties. Her progressed Sun was conjunct Venus when she was 19, making Prince William the love of her life. His progressed Venus conjunct his Sun does not appear until he is 29, the time he has said he will marry. Though it can also indicated the birth of a favoured child. Their relationship chart has a Sun, Venus, Mercury conjunction so there is a good deal of affection between them and good communication. Though with Mars opposing the composite Sun directly there’s also a potential for argument; and with Saturn also opposing there will be irritability but also a sense that circumstances don’t allow for open expression of feeling. Saturn strong in a composite chart also can indicate obstacles, sometimes insurmountable in the way of a relationship coming together. His Venus is in indulgent, tactile Taurus, like his mother’s, so he likes physical closesness, though with Venus opposing Uranus, he can also be changeable in his affections. Her Venus is in detached Aquarius so she’s less keen on intiumacy and being part of a possessive twosoe. She prefers being together out with a crowd of friends. Her Venus falls in his second house suggesting that he will bring her wealth, she will encourage him to overspend on luxuries, and that financial considerations may ne a partial motivation in the relationship. Her Sun falls in his first house which is relatively common in committed relationships. She brings out his personality and makes him more self aware, though there can be a competitive element in this placing. Another placing frequently found in strong relationships is here with her Moon falling in his 7th house, so she brings him support and understanding. Acker and Sackoian say of this placing that the families of one or both partiescan play an important partt in the relationship and domestic issues can be of consequence in how they get along. It can be a moody combination since both will be keenly aware of the other’s feelings. Often it works well in a relationship which also involves a family business. Kate and other Royals: Kate gets on exceptionally well with Prince Charles on a surface level with the Sun close to Venus which is close to Jupiter in their composite chart. But this is a relationship which will undergo many periodic upheavals especially through 2007 when there will be jolting changes and some pressure, as well as in 2008. At an underlying level there may also be an element of concern since both worry about their self esteem. When one does better or gets more publicity the other feels diminished and vice versa. Her relationship with the Queen is less easy with a strong element of control and suppressed feelings. There is still a good deal of affection here and the Queen will recognise that Kate is a significant relationship in her life. They will share social and musical interests, and the Queen will shoulder financial responsibilities for her. But Kate will feel under the domination of the Qeeun and will perhaps resort to some covert manipulation to get her own way. 2007 will not be an easy year for their relationship with Uranus square the composite Mars in March and again in January 2008 causing insecurity or irritation between them. Future influences: Kate and Prince William’s relationship will be under strain in 2008 and 2009 as his New Moon is being opposed by Pluto putting major pressures on him to alter his lifestyle radically. He will be tossed and torn by inner conflict, not clear what he really wants to do, either professionally or emotionally. Their composite Venus will also be squared by Pluto in 2008 bringing intense feelings perhaps jealousy. Into 2010 Saturn then in Libra will put a cool, perhaps separating hand on their relationship, with duty coming before pleasure. Into 2011 Uranus then into Aries will cause more disruptions and upheavals which could move them into a new lifestyle together with considerable ups and downs or separate them. By 2011 Prince William will feel ready to commit himself to settling into marriage. If they do decide to marry then the following decade will be one of immense challenges as Pluto will continue on to square Mars in their individual and composite charts through 2013 and 14 bringing anger, power struggles, blockages. Uranus also adds into the volatile mix as it moves through Aries, so there will be a total revolution in their hopes and aims as a couple. Pluto then moves on to square Saturn in the mid decade and finally Pluto towards the end, so it will not bean easy furrow to plough.
