ASTRO HEADLINES:
Update: Through late 2005 Saturn is conjunct his Sun in the second half of October 2005 into early November over the indictment of his aide Scooter Libby. This is a sober facing up to reality, tends to be depressing and brings setbacks. It repeats from December 11th to 30th and again in early July 2006. It is also not great for health since he has a 6th house Sun. Pluto is also making its final square to his Pisces Moon until early November 2005, an emotionally intense time with some health implications as well. His worst year will be 2007 with Pluto square Neptune which is disorientating, highly anxious and Uranus square his Mars which is highly irritable and tends to bring major insecurities to the fore in sudden, sometimes accidental ways. Uranus Mars influences are not deemed good for heart conditions.
Cheney Personality.
A heavyweight personality with a stubborn streak and an irascible temper, he is a curious mix of absolutely fixed and highly restless traits. With a mutable Mars on the point of a T square, he can be vibrant, stimulating, quick witted but tends to be disorganised and scattered in his approach. His boredom level is low so he will constantly seek distractions. He needs wind-down times if he is not to burn out his highly charged nervous system. In crisis, however, he will tend to be rock steady, able to withstand huge pressure, and has a highly practical approach to finding solutions. Not a flexible personality he does not find change easy. He tends to dig his heels in until he is pulled to the end of his inner resources and his endurance gives out. Then he lets go and everything improves.
A sixth house Sun and Mercury hints at a hard worker who likes to be of service, though it also points to health problems through life, and the need to protect his physical energy. He cannot push past his limits and get away with it. With Venus in the 5th, he likes to party. Mars in the 4th suggests an irritability at home. Pluto in the 12th gives him the capacity to be the power behind the throne. He hides his own need for control well, though does require space for himself at times away from other people.
PRESENT PLANETARY INFLUENCES
He is in his peak time career-wise for some years ahead, though with Neptune transitting the 6th since 2000, his energy will not match up to his ambitions. He has had a tranche of difficult aspects through the last few years from 2000 onwards as deceptive, undermining Neptune aspected his fixed Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and Sun. Then in mid 2005 Saturn in Leo started to add its share of setbacks and obstacles as it is conjunct Pluto and square the rest. These Saturnine influences will not let up until 2007 when Pluto is starting to square Neptune and Uranus conjunct Mars which will make it a physically and psychologically stressful year.
CHENEY/RUMSFELT
Not a mutually supportive relationship, there is a good deal of buried anger, resentment and suspicion on both sides. It was under especially heavy pressure in 2002 and 2003 as Pluto squared Mars, then Saturn in Pisces and squares Neptune in Virgo in the composite chart. Both play a game of one upmanship, since any wins for either side feels like a loss to the other. Joint enterprises are unlikely to succeed. With Uranus conjuncts their composite Mars and opposes Neptune in 2007 they are likely to be at daggers drawn or at least faced with highly upsetting situations
CHENEY/BUSH
A sparky relationship with a Sun Mars opposition together they can create more heat than light. Squaring onto Jupiter, it can give rise to wild flights of enthusiasm which lack practical sense. Pluto opposed Saturn putting extreme pressure on their relationship in November 2002, and again July to November 2003. Their relationship has been under gloomy influences since late 2004 with Saturn conjunct the composite Jupiter which repeated in mid 2005. Saturn then conjunct Pluto and squared Venus bringing a real sense of blockage, frustration and chill in September 2005, February and May 2006. 2007 will be a difficult year between them with Uranus square Saturn bringing jolting changes, sudden outbursts and perhaps secrets coming out in the open. Pluto will also be sextile their composite Mars in 2007 which will be angry, perhaps bitter, and will put both under a good deal of pressure.
