I am delighted that you have chosen to receive my very special day forecast - I even do it for myself.

I love it because it is comprehensive and REAL astrology based on the data you have given me. I should add that if your time of birth isn't entirely accurate this will be reflected in the time spans highlighted in your analysis.

Talking of which let me take you on a guided tour through the report. You will notice the recognisable names of the planets which are totally recognisable and between the two names you will see the name of an aspect - Trine or Sextile (good/positive aspects) - Square or Opposition (challenging/difficult aspects) - Conjunction (neutral, can go either way dependent upon planets involved).

Now most importantly look at the dates: The first date in bold is when the planet peaks - remember this is calculated on your birth data, but if your birth time isn't good then this day might be out either way. Please take this into account if you are unsure of your time.

Look now at the dates in italics, the first date will be before the peak day and the second date some time after. This is the period when the aspect is in orb and is working for or against you: the date before hand it is applying and will get more and more powerful and the second date is when it ends so the influence is very weak indeed, if at all.

Please take the following on board: the planets move at differing speeds. Some are very fast such as the Moon, Sun, Venus and Mercury and others are very slow such as Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. Mars is somewhere in the middle taking about 2 months to travel through a sign.

This obviously means some aspects will be around for a very long time indeed which means they are very, very important over a calendar period - these kind of aspects totally transform your life, your psyche, yourself beyond all recognition. They can change your world quite literally but this kind of regenerating takes time.

The quicker planets are over and done with rapidly, these aspects affect your moods and emotions, your daily life from working to shopping, your social life from clubbing to friendships - those things you tend to do regularly over a day, week or month.

Now this quick, quick, slow approach is what makes the tempo of your life different to the rhythm of somebody who shares your sign because you have different energies all converging on you. During some periods you may think that aspects are contradicting each other, not really, the slower planets are much more deep seated and psychological the swifter ones are more superficial and inclined towards life's trivia. If you do get two or more aspects from one planet of the quicker group then you might find the negative one pertains to money but the positive ones to love, so love is a source of joy but money needs to be sorted out. Not a contradiction, just life!

But just as importantly you must understand RETROGRADE planets. This is when a planet moves forward and then apparently appears to move backwards. This can confuse because you will find aspects repeating themselves. It's not a mistake it is just the planets doing their natural thing.

This is not a kop out on my part trying to give you more of the same, it is quite simply that a moving or transiting planet is going to go backwards and forwards over the SAME natal planet in your horoscope. This toing and froing can happen two to three times especially with the five planets from Jupiter to Pluto this is why they are so slow moving. Not only are they literally slow in the skies but take their time wading through the signs of the zodiac as a consequence and inevitably they will return for a repeat performance moving back and forth over the same part of your chart. As above, so below.

See retrograde aspects in this way - the first transit awakens you to the knowledge and idea that you need to do something about this segment of your life. The second transit is when you come up with a solution and can make things happen. The third transit is the conclusion of it all. If you are a positive person and take notice and do what you know you must then you will achieve your goal or renewal by the third transit. If you do nothing but leave it to chance or can't be bothered then the third transit means not only will you be in exactly the same boat as you were but probably worse off as you let opportunity and your chance for change go. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Mercury needs a special mention. He retrogrades approximately three times in one year. But with each retrogradation he may travel over one of your birth planets, stop and then travels back, stop and then travel forward again. During this period it will mean that communications, travel and your mental faculties in whatever part of your chart has been hit on will also be affected. For instance if you are born with a natal Mercury retrograde then it can be very positive for you, if not, like the majority of us, it is a time to stop, think, review and consider your options, but not to act on anything until he has crossed back over the highlighted part of your chart but this time in forward motion. During these periods you have the chance to take a probing look at an area of your life that requires your ideas, inspirations and intuition. The first transit will bring matters of concern or weakness to light, the period following will be good for consideration, investigation and being analytical and then when the second and final transit occurs - when Mercury travels back over the same point he went backwards at - then you can start to move your ideas on and progress your life. To do nothing or ignore these important periods means you will not be able to advance your cause you will fall behind the times or deal with everyday issues in a totally inadequate, ineffective or uninspired way because you didn't take the chance to modernise or improve your lot.

To finish, both Venus and Mars have infrequent times of retrograde during which Venus will highlight love and money issues and relationships with women and Mars energy levels, sexual issues and relationships with men. For the record, Mercury has a say on your relationship with teenagers!
